I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes, and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. In order to earn that pay check, I work on a rig site for a Fort McMurray construction project.

At any time I am required to pass a random urine test, with which I have no problem. However, what I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don’t have to pass a urine test.

Shouldn’t one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them? Understand – I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet.

I do on the other hand have a problem with helping someone sit on their ass, drinking beer and smoking dope. Could you imagine how much money this country would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check?

 If you agree, please pass this along,  I hope you will pass it along though, because something has to change in this country ! We hope you liked that little bit of thought.

But to a more pressing thought, We all need to stop  global warming, before it is to late. Please take the time for your children and learn what can be done to save their lives their future and the rest of this world.

 Insanity Is Inherited! So here is some more from the ?

I was in a “Dollar” store recently to buy bargain shaving cream for a dollar. I knew I could not take the container on the airplane with me – so any brand would do. I was going by a section containing some coffee mugs with little sayings on them and one caught my eye. Written on the side of this cup was: “Insanity is inherited – you get it from your kids.”

I chuckled a little and walked by – but as I thought more about it, I came back and bought the cup for a dollar. I bought it for another parent I began thinking about – and for a whole lot of parents that came to mind. The more I thought about this little saying, the more profound it became. It contained some truth – put in a funny way. We would say: “tongue in cheek.”

There is no doubt in my mind that the greatest blessing we humans can have is a happy marriage and wonderful children. You cannot buy this with money and even with a whole lifetime of work and effort, this wonderful prize is often out of reach. Psalm 127 states things well when we read that children are a heritage from God, a reward and a source of strength. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of such arrows. One of God’s great commandments is to honour your father and mother – God then promises to give a long life and blessings to such a child. Of course, that commandment also carries over to honouring God who is our Father.

The love of a parent for a child does not have boundaries – just as God’s love for mankind has no boundaries. We may not love the things our children do, but we cannot stop loving them. Even the father of the prodigal son kept hoping his son would come to his senses one day – and rejoiced when he saw his son coming from a great distance. The father did not know at that moment that the son really had learned some valuable lessons – he just loved him (Luke 15:20-24). 

 I am eternally grateful to be blessed with loving children – but my heart goes out totally to the parents who carry heavy loads and heavy hearts because of their children. Numerous examples spring to mind in the society in which we live – and in the pages of the Bible. When I pass a young person sitting on the sidewalk begging or perhaps on drugs – I think of the parents of that child. Granted there is mental illness and factors that we may not know behind what we see – but there are far too many who simply choose a way of life which brings heartache to all who love them.
